tantrums in the store

Shopping with my 3.5 yr old has become the most excruciating pain since birthing him. Not sure how it happened his older brother did the screaming at the party store once as I carried him out saying over and over Mommy doesn't like how you are talking to her just in case someone felt I was kidnapping him. Never again.This time around every single person is saying thanks god that isn't my child.  Now today was by far the best in a couple week but it was a little touch and go. He wanted to pull the basket behind him and then stopping along the way to fill it and me behind him taking a couple things out so I could put them back where they belonged and thinking what will make him not scream at the end, ah a true bribe, M&M's. We got to the check out and I said you need to leave your basket,look candy go find the yellow M&M's. it worked.  Point sometimes bribes are OK until the next time we go into the same store and my elephant memory of a son will ask for M&M's and I won't give them to him.
